Meet Sally

SallyHi! I’m Sally Blommel, the newest and oldest team member at The C-3 Group. I’m so thrilled to be here….and even happier to be working with this amazing group of dedicated, creative, talented, caring, good-looking, witty and smart people, especially my “old” WING/Z-93 radio colleague, Brad Cullman, who taught me everything about schmoozing and honesty!

Although small in stature I am HUGE in the experience department (and name dropping.) A graduate of Northern Kentucky University and former classmate of George Clooney who, after two weeks sitting next to me in Speech Class, finally said something like “see ya lata kid. I’m ditchin’ this two-bit town and headin’ west …to make it big in the movies see.” So I left too…three years later…to pursue a career in broadcasting. I only made it across the river to Cincinnati. So I began there…at WKRC radio as a promotions assistant and Bengals Radio Network Coordinator before becoming the marketing/promotions director and talk show producer (“Midday with Mike McConnell” and “The Bill Cunningham Show”) at the BIG One – 700 WLW. Still short,  but moving up – as in North –  I left the Queen City for the Gem City and took over marketing and promotions at WING and Z-93 working with the legendary Steve Kirk and still amazing Kim Faris, among others, and creating  innovative events and promotions for clients such as Coca Cola, Pepsi, McDonalds and Kings Island. Following radio my career path then led me into public service as a program coordinator for Montgomery County where I organized events such as “RiverBlast!”, “Inventing Flight” and many, many concerts at Courthouse Square and Riverscape and then as the administrator for the city of Centerville’s Benham’s Grove.

There’s more, but you get the gist of it…I’ve been around. And, while the work is nice and pays the bills, I love working for free too! I have served as a board member with the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and March of Dimes and volunteer with many organizations such as Washington Township’s Woodland Lights and Centerville’s Americana Festival. In addition, I am a member of Incarnation Church served and am in my 14th year as pre-school teacher in its PREP program.

But wait! There’s more. I pack a lot into this 5’1 frame of mine. I have a personal life too! It includes a family – one amazing husband, three wonderful children and two exceptional grandsons – and a warm and cheerful home in Centerville. I’m truly blessed! And, after living here for almost 30 years, I gotta say, I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else. It truly is a city of neighbors; friendly folks who care about the community and each other. So, I embrace the opportunity here at C-3 Group to provide the best service to our clients with lots of enthusiasm, energy and small shoes. They fit. And, I think I’ll fit in here too.

Announcing Our 2017 C-3 Cares Partner: United Rehabilitation Services

When we began the C-3 Cares initiative in 2013, we never guessed just how amazing the program would turn out to be. Each year, we’ve been fortunate enough to work with truly wonderful people and give a little back to some of the incredible organizations that do so much good in the Dayton region.

With that in mind, we’re pleased to announce our 2017 partner for the C-3 Cares initiative: United Rehabilitation Services of Greater Dayton.

urs

For 60 years, United Rehabilitation Services (URS) of Greater Dayton has provided innovative programs designed to enhance the quality of life for children and adults with disabilities or other special needs such as autism, cerebral palsy, and Alzheimer’s. Serving Dayton and the Miami Valley region, URS has delivered vital services and therapy to nearly 250,000 of the most vulnerable individuals in our community.

Considering all the good work the folks at URS do, we’re honored to have this opportunity to partner with them in 2017.
