Sales/Account Manager

The C-3 Group, a multi-faceted marketing firm, is seeking the right candidate for an opportunity in Sales and Account Management (see job description).

Job Description:

The candidate must be bright, energetic, confident, personable and have an understanding of the sales process and marketing in general. Some sales and/or marketing experience a BIG plus however we will train the right person. Must have strong written and verbal communication skills and an understanding of the digital world. This person will also embrace the C-3 values, working to help build our culture of teamwork, creative excellence, and client service. This role works with all employees to collectively and proactively deliver projects on-time and on-budget as well as improve efficiencies in workflow processes.

The Sales/Account Manager will assist in securing new business, as well as managing multiple client accounts on a daily basis. As a Sales/Account Manager, you'll be tasked with:

  • Sales:

    This position would first and foremost, entail new business acquisition. This includes the identifying of prospects, networking, lead generation, research, proposal writing, developing presentations, and the selling of the prospect (with others from the team as needed).

  • Client Management:

    When business is won or assigned, the Sales/Account Manager works within the firm, acting as a link between clients and the agency. They are responsible for the coordination of on-going marketing (ie. retainers), single deliverable projects (ie. a brochure) and specific campaigns (ie. digital product release campaign) and therefore communicating clearly to all those involved. They must understand their clients' needs and objectives and liaise closely with them throughout campaigns, often on a daily basis. They help manage the client's work to ensure that the projects are completed on time and on budget.

  • Support:

    The Sales/Account Manager may have specific expertise in an area that would be beneficial to the sales and/or execution of marketing efforts for C-3 or its clients. This expertise may lead to working with others at C-3 to help successfully utilize this expertise.

The role typically involves handling multiple accounts and the areas outlined above. On occasion, the hours can be long in a competitive, deadline driven environment. The Sales/Account Manager reports to the Director of Accounts. The position of Sales/Account Manager will be required to be on location daily at The C-3 Group at 232 East 6th St. Dayton, OH 45402, or travel as required.
